Kelsey’s Dad Mark Will Be a Contestant on Joan’s Golden Bachelorette Season says Reality Steve

America fell in love with Kelsey Anderson’s dad during Joey Graziedei’s season of the Bachelor.

So much so that the fans quickly called for Mark to follow in Gerry Turner’s footsteps to be the next Golden Bachelor.

Kelsey Anderson admitted that her father is now “open” to finding love on the reality show.

And now, Reality Steve has revealed that Mark will be on Joan’s season of the Golden Bachelorette.

“My prediction is Joan becomes the Bachelorette and winds up with Kelsey’s dad. I don’t think it’s going to be a surprise at all. If Kelsey’s dad is on the bat, the golden bachelorette, because Kelsey’s even talked about it,” Steve writes on his blog.

“Like [Kelsey’s] literally trying to talk her dad into it. So it’s not like he has no interest or whatsoever. The fact that she’s even openly talking about it, I would be shocked if Kelsey’s dad isn’t a contestant on the Golden Bachelorette.”

How does Kelsey feel about Mark being on the show?

“[My] initial response was traumatized that there were trap videos that people made about my dad,” Kelsey tells PEOPLE. “But then I decided to take a step back and I was like, ‘You know what? My dad deserves all of this praise and love. He is an amazing dad, and he was an amazing husband to my mom.’ I think that my dad deserves all the love.”

“I think that my dad sees how great Joey and I are together, and he has talked to me about how Joey and I would’ve never met each other if it wasn’t for this show, so he’s open to it,” the Bachelor winner said. “My mom always told him that she wanted him to find love if she ever passed away before him, and that she wanted him to be happy and have that partnership after her, so I think that it would be a great push for him to open up to that and to see if he could find love on a TV show.”

While Joey admits Mark “would crush it” on the show.

“He’s amazing,” Joey added. “He has a presence about him. So, if he’s open to it, I think he’d do really well.”

Joan is a mother of four and a grandmother of two, who was widowed after 32 years of marriage. She works as a school administrator and is from Rockland, Md.

Joan took to Instagram to post the news of her being the first lead of the Golden Bachelorette.

“The secret is out!” she wrote, adding that she was “honored” to be the first female lead of the spinoff.

Although the channel has not yet announced the premiere date Joan’s season yet, the episodes will air Wednesdays at 8 pm.
