Kaitlyn’s Shocking Tell All on Shawn Booth – ‘He Shamed Me For Years’
Kaitlyn Bristowe is finally talking about her relationship with ex fiancé Shawn Booth and everything that led to their break up.
The former Bachelorette joined Corinne Fisher and Krystyna Hutchinson on their Guys We F**D podcast where she talked about the dark side of her last relationship.
According to Kaitlyn, Shawn wasn’t too happy when he found out she had sex with Ben Higgins and Nick Viall during their fantasy suite dates.
“I was actually a 100 percent sure who I was gonna pick, but I still really cared about these two guys where I’m like that’s so weird because if this guy (Shawn) wasn’t here, I’d have to pick one of them,” Kaitlyn said.
When asked about how many of them was she intimate with, she said, “Three! This feels like so long ago but sex is important to me in a relationship. If I’m going to marry you and get engaged to you on this show, intimacy and having sex is going to be important to me, and when you’re given the opportunity to take the relationships as far as you possibly can to see, because I was so set on Shawn, but what if something intimate with Ben (Higgins) changed everything, and we had this beautiful chemistry”
She then talked about the internet slut shaming that followed for years, and Shawn too was a part of it.
“It was a rollercoaster, because sometimes I thought it was funny and then it got to a point where it was affecting my relationship where he was like ‘yeah, why did you sleep with other people’ and then that having all the voices affect him then affected me.”
“I actually protected him a lot because at the end of the day I don’t need this to be messier than it already is,” she continued. “I know what happened and I knew I had to speak about it because I had shared that part of myself with the world.”
About her break up statement, she said:
“I hated putting out that statement, like ‘we remain friends.. blah blah blah’ I don’t even know what it said like f**k that.”
About her breaking point after they split up, she said, “In my podcast I always interview Bachelor people and Jason had just come off his season, and when I got to the studio, I had been yelled at on the phone (by Shawn) for going on the podcasts with a Bachelor guy so shortly after a break up. I was crying and I remember the Uber driver turning around to me and saying, ‘don’t ever let anybody talk to you like that’ and I started bawling.”
Kaitlyn further added that even though she didn’t cheat on Shawn with Ben and Nick, “For so long I felt that I had to make that upto him and I allowed this abuse to happen, where I got to a point where I almost adopted his demons. Then I became insecure, jealous, and emotionally abusive in the relationship.”
