That means the Bachelor will send 2 contestants home this week.

There are the top 4 contestants on The Bachelor season 28!

Daisy Kent

Joey will head to Minnesota for his hometown date with Daisy. 

Kelsey Anderson

Kelsey’s hometown date took place in New Orleans.

Rachel Nance

Rachel’s hometown was familiar to him as he’d be headed to Hawaii.

Maria Georgas

Joey would have headed north of the border for Maria’s hometown. She’s from Kleinburg, Ontario.

Even before the season 28 of The Bachelor premiered, host Jesse Palmer teased that “what happens in the end is an unprecedented shocking first in Bachelor history.”

The Bachelor himself also revealed that the finale will be a big shock to the fans.

The ending is “unprecedented, shocking first in Bachelor history,” the voice-over on the season teaser says, as Joey tearfully says, “That was crazy. I didn’t expect that at all. I can’t think that’s happened before. I don’t even know what to say, I know I gave as much as I could. I’m sick of feeling like this. It feels wrong, but I don’t know what to do.”

In an interview with Extra, Joey talked about the surprising end to his journey. He said, “Obviously, people have seen me very emotional. I think it’s just one of those things that it was an ending that I just didn’t expect. I think it’s an ending that no one is going to expect — again, something that’s going to be worth tuning in for.“
