Joey & Kelsey Share Their Biggest ‘icks’ about Each Other: ‘It Wasn’t a Good Look for Me’
The newest Bachelor couple, Joey and Kelsey are discovering ‘icks’ (aka a modern term for pet peeve) about each other.
In a recent interview with People, Joey and Kelsey talked about what gives them an ick about each other.
“I think I said this before, but maybe him eating pasta,” Kelsey said about Joey.
“Yeah, apparently we were on a date and I didn’t do it right,” Joey said. “It was like, all clumped up, and it wasn’t a good look for me.”
“She doesn’t have any ‘icks’ in my eyes,” Joey said when it was his turn. “She’s perfect. I’m gonna hold on to that one. She can bring up the pasta, but she’s perfect in my eyes.”
The Bachelor couple are all set to move in together. Kelsey talked about one of her biggest concerns before the big move.
“I think I’m nervous about him leaving the toilet seat up,” she said.
“I need to work on that one. We’ll take it one step at a time,” Joey added.
Joey and Kelsey said they’re so ready to live under the same roof.
“I think what I’m most excited about is the ability to be around each other so much,” Joey said of moving in together. “We finally will be able to just do small things together.”
“I don’t know if it’s all the early 2000s rom-coms that I’ve watched, but something about New York is so intriguing to me,” Kelsey added. “I don’t care if I hate it or love it; I just need to go experience it, and Joey’s fully supporting that.”
Joey and Kelsey have also already picked out a baby name for their future child.
On The Viall Files podcast with host Nick Viall, the newly engaged couple talked about starting a family together one day.
“We already have the name of our first kid figured out. Like, we’re talking about this stuff,” The Bachelor said on the podcast.
“We want to build a beautiful family because we have two beautiful families of our own. We’re taking things slow because I think that’s important after doing something like [The Bachelor].”
“One of the really special things — I don’t even know if it ever made it on the show — was that Kelsey always wanted to adopt,” Joey continued. “That was something that she was really big on, and she wants to probably have like 20 kids. I’d rather stay more in the three range. We already have the name of our first kid figured out, so we’re talking about this stuff.
So, did they pick out a name yet?
“It’s easy because it would be taking her last name,” Joey revealed, noting that they’re hoping that their first child is a girl. “Anderson’s her last name, soon to obviously be her maiden name, and we kind of love it most for a girl and calling her ‘Andie.’”
“So, Anderson Graziadei was the idea for the first kid.”
At what point in the season did Joey start to think that Kelsey could be the one?
Speaking of the first night, Joey said: “One of the producers brought it up that you’re going to have an idea of everyone after night one and then you’re going to go to bed and wake up and someone is going to be on your mind.
“You’re going to have a dream about her or there’s going to be someone you aren’t going to be able to get out of your head… I went to bed and I woke up the next morning having had a full-on dream about Kelsey.”
“She was the only person on my mind when I woke up the next day and I told everyone the next day that this Kelsey girl is on my mind and I think the voodoo doll worked,” he joked. “That was the weirdest thing and I couldn’t wait for our date because she was the one that I couldn’t get out of my head… I didn’t think I was going to dream about anybody but she was the one I dreamed about.”
Joey also talked about the moment he first saw Kelsey come out of the limo on night one.
“I was blown away. The limo entrances are always at different times and she was actually the last one out of the limo… So after 32 women, I was getting to the point where I was kind of ready to go inside and give this toast and ready to get this thing going.”
“But she walked out and I was like, ‘Holy s**t, this is amazing. This was worth it for 32 because she is the last one.’ I was really blown away right away. We always joke about our first conversation on night one, she was so nervous. I think she was kind of upset I had kissed other women and had heard it through the house.”
Speaking of how he fell in love with her, he said: “There’s been so many little moments,” Joey said adding that their trip to the Spanish city of Ronda “was a huge one for us, having our first one-on-one,” he adds. “I think that was the first time that I knew something was building, that was possibly going to be a forever.”
