Even though Maria had filmed her Bachelorette intro and signed the contracts for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, ABC is going with another lead for the upcoming season.
The official announcement will be made on The Bachelor – After The Final Rose on Monday night.
Reality Steve just revealed the Bachelorette is going to be..

DAISY KENT
Steve said the channel is going forward with Daisy Kent as the next Bachelorette lead and they’ll officially make an announcement tonight at the After The Final Rose Live.
Earlier, he revealed that the two likely candidates for the next Bachelorette season were Daisy Kent and Maria Georgas.
“This is probably a situation where it’s between Maria and Daisy,” Steve said on his podcast “I think the show is very well aware that they are deciding between Maria and Daisy, I do not think they have made a decision yet.”
The shows creators might not even make the final choice between the two until the very last moment.
“ABC can do whatever they want because they’ve got us all over a barrel just dissecting everything,” he added, “They’ve told people in the past they are the lead, and all of a sudden they weren’t. Because they changed their mind at the last minute.”
And like every year, ABC might have both Daisy and Maria film intro videos, sign the contracts and do fittings.
So there’s pretty much a 50/50 shot when it comes to who they’re going to end up picking
The Bachelor fans are now accusing Daisy Kent for going on The Bachelor to grow her fame on social media and to be the next Bachelorette.
“She’s really auditioning for the Bachelorette role on the show,” a fan wrote
“She’s a clout chaser – doesn’t seem to be all that into Joey,” another fan commented.
“Spotted this from day 1 – I think most did. these contestants underestimate how well viewers can see through them. She seemed so contrived, like everything she did was an audition for Bach’ette.”
