Kate Defends Her Comments about Logan’s Financial Situation, Says She Doesn’t Regret it – Here’s What She Said

The Bachelor fans were upset with Kate Gallivan’s comments on Logan Palmer’s financial sitaution during this weeks episodes of Bachelor in Paradise.

Kate realized Hayden has a wealthy financial situation, leading her to question her relationship with Logan because of his money.

“I like that Hayden is established in his life. He has a mortgage and a plan,” Kate told the cameras during this weeks episode of BIP. “I am clearly very capable of providing for myself, but I’m tired. I don’t want to have to carry someone else. It’s exhausting, and it builds a crazy amount of resentment.”

“Maybe I am old fashioned, and I want a man to have provider energy,” Kate said before giving her rose to Logan.

Kate even goes as far as to say, “I know that you literally can’t afford to work out at Equinox. Like I have a trainer, Shanae,” she said in regards to Logan.

Kate is now defending herself after the backlash she received. And it looks like she’s standing by the comments she made.

“Can we just be real for a second? I am tired of having that conversation being so taboo and demonized,” Kate told ET. “Money’s not something that we should be afraid of. It is a factor in life.”

“Listen, I mean, I think we all understand that it’s a TV show. There are elements that are shown and not shown,” she said. “I always knew it was Logan. I wanted to be open-minded, give everybody kind of a fair shot, but it was always going to be Logan.”

Kate continued defending herself saying “obviously” money is “not everything,” but “it is a factor.”

“I was willing to be open and honest about that. I’m open to the feedback, the criticism, whatever, but, at the end of the day, I was being real,” she continued. “These are the things you talk about with your girlfriends, like, sipping martinis behind closed doors. Of course it’s a factor.”

Kate is also ignoring all the negative criticism and hate she received after the last episode of BIP.

“When you’re in the public eye, when you’re on a show and you’re making decisions under duress, with lack of sleep, with alcohol, of course things can be misconstrued,” she said. “But, at the end of the day, what I said was something that I stand by, and I think a lot of other people can relate to that.”

And that she doesn’t regret her comments on Logan.

“Logan’s a great guy. There’s nothing wrong with where he is in life. I think those comments were just indicative of not so much the material facts, it’s just more so about where he is in life versus where I am. I hope that’s what translates. That’s what I meant.”
