Kaitlyn Reveals The REAL Reason She Split with Jason Tartick

The Bachelor fans were in shock and were looking for answers after Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick announced they have ended their engagement — without sharing details.

“We feel grateful to be ending our engagement with love and respect for each other. It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but our care and admiration for one another will never die,” the couple posted a joint statement.

The former Bachelorette has finally answered the most asked question since their break up – what’s the real reason for their split?

“I think people assume that if people break up something bad happened, and I think that’s the hardest part of this whole breakup is nothing bad happened. It’s just been over time we have both not made each other a priority, and this is what happens,” Kaitlyn explained. “The right person is gonna choose… and prioritize each other, and we just haven’t been.”

“We’re grieving a loss,” she said. “It’s probably so confusing for people because it’s like, why aren’t you just together then? Maybe in six months from now, we go, ‘Yeah, this was the right move.’ Or we go, ‘You know what? I want to choose you.’”

Are they going to get back together in the future?

“We both don’t know what the future holds, but this is a necessary move for us right now,” she continued. “But I never loved and respected somebody more through a breakup.”

She also asked the fans and trolls to take a break.

“People do not have to pick sides. Root for us both to be happy and grow and learn.”

Kaitlyn then took to social media to give a life update to the Bachelor fans through a series of photos.

“Not to spoil the ending for you. But you’re going to be OK ❤️,” she captioned the slideshow.

“It is only heavy because you are deciding over and over again to carry it,” the picture read. “Embrace change, loosen up your sense of identity, let yourself walk a new path. You do not have to ignore or erase the past, you just have to wholeheartedly embrace the present and move on.”
