Former Contestant Of ‘The Bachelor’ Dies in Plane Crash

Erin Storm, who competed for the affection of Matt Grant on Season 12 of “The Bachelor,” was identified Tuesday as the pilot killed in the crash of an ultralight after takeoff from Hawthorne airport.

Storm was flying the plane. There were no passengers.

A nearby construction crew witnessed the crash and pulled Storm out from the wreckage. She was immediately taken to a local hospital but the 41 year old Pilot couldn’t survive.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.

In the first episode of The Bachelor Season 12, she wore a red halter top dress to meet Grant and quipped he seemed “very popular.” She was eliminated on episode 3. Grant chose Shayne Lamas at the season’s end.

The Bachelor star Matt Grant has paid tribute to reality TV star Erin Storm following her death.

Grant said he was “massively shocked” by Storm’s death and that he was “devastated for her family and friends.”

“We were lucky to have Erin on season 12,” he continued. “She was genuine, self-assured, beautiful and hilarious.”
