Erich’s Ex Reveals Text Screenshots of Him Dumping Her for a ‘Career’ on The Bachelorette

Well, it now certainly looks like the joint season featuring Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia might actually be the most dramatic season ever!

Erich, who is the only man left for Gabby, confessed his love for the Bachelorette on the last episode.

We see Erich tell Gabby that he wants to date her in the real world first and not leave the show engaged. And that’s what they did. The couple left Mexico completely in love and wanting to start their relationship off cameras in the real world. But, what’s Bachelorette without the drama?

The text screenshots, shared by an Instagram account Bachelornation.Scoop, shows Erich apologizing to a woman named Amanda, for choosing to go on the show while they were dating. He’s seen telling her that he feels stuck in his career and hopes a stint on reality TV will advance it.

Here’s the first screenshot:

“I know this isn’t ideal, I wanted to do this to see if there was something else I could do with my life. I really like you Amanda,” he texted his ex.

“I didn’t think it would be a big deal but I understand how you feel. I’m sorry and I understand if you don’t want to see me anymore.”

“You just expected me to continue dating you while you go on a reality show to ‘find love,?’” She tells him.

“I’m stuck in my career path, and I’m miserable with it. I don’t want this to be the rest of my life,” Erich wrote to Amanda.

Here’s another screenshot:

With Erich replying, “It isn’t real, but you’re right. I am sorry I really didn’t think this all through.”

“He insisted that it was all acting and it would be as if he was just going out of town for a few weeks,” Amanda shared. “He wanted a fresh start and a new career path because he was unhappy with his.”

Mike Fleiss, the creator and producer of the Bachelor franchise, ‘liked’ a tweet comparing Erich Schwer to Jed Wyatt, confirming that Gabby might break up with Erich on the finale night.

The Bachelorette Season 19 finale airs Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
