Does Gerry Turner Regret His Final Decision? ‘I think I Made a Mistake’

[THIS IS A SPOILER FREE ARTICLE]

Gerry Turner is questioning his decision as we’re a week away from the Golden Bachelor season 1 finale.

After the 72-year-old retired restaurateur went on Fantasy Suite dates with Leslie and Theresa, he told the cameras that he’d made up his mind between the women.

The teaser begins with Gerry talking to the cameras, “I’m going to propose to the woman that I love and the woman that I want to start a whole new life with. This is going to be the epic day that I’ve gone through all of this to enjoy.”

And then something happens which makes him question his decision.

Does Gerry regret his final decision?

“I think I made a mistake. The only time I’ve ever felt worse in my whole life is when my wife passed away, and this is a god—- close second. Had I known this would be how much pain I would cause someone, I would’ve never taken the first step in this journey,” he said in the finale teaser released by ABC.

Gerry admitted that he has mixed emotions about his final decision after knowing what he needs to do post-Fantasy Suite dates.

Both the finalists, Leslie and Theresa, would be meeting Gerry’s daughters in the finale episode.

In an interview with ET, Gerry talked about falling in love with multiple women.

“When you’re down to the last two people over that amount of time and that much investment, you really have strong feelings for them even though you know they’re not the right person. They are so close to it. You’re connected so deeply and then you realize they have to leave. It’s, oh my god, it was an incredibly bad situation.”

With The Golden Bachelor coming to an end in a week, it was one of the most entertaining seasons of reality TV in a long time and it hopefully ends with a happily engaged couple.

“You are going to see something that has never happened before,” he teased. “I think you will be moved as much as I was moved in the moment,” Gerry said about the finale.

The Golden Bachelor finale airs Thursday, November 30 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
