Former Bachelorette contesant and Matt James’ bestfriend is finally speaking out on the controversial season 25 of the Bachelor and the break up.
Tyler Cameron opened up about how Matt is handling the split post Bachelor.
“He’s going through it [but] he’s doing good,” Tyler tells US Weekly, adding, “You know, we just have to take care of ourselves.”
“It was definitely tough, you know. But, like I said, I always support Matt,” he continued. “I’m here for him and he does the same for me. That’s what brothers do for each other. He’s been working hard.”
Tyler also told People‘s Jeremy Parsons that he advised his bestfriend to concentrate on himself after the dramatic season finale.
“Just focus on yourself man, get yourself in the right headspace and when you’re ready, you’re ready,” Tyler said.
“But right now, take some time for yourself, work on yourself and get yourself back to being Matt, which I think he’s doing,” He added.
Did he ever get to meet the Bachelor winner?
“I never got to meet her … but they seemed happy,” he told told Us Weekly, “It was like a honeymoon afterwards still, and that’s easy to be happy in.”
Tyler also added that the decision to end things was the right one.
“What happened had to happen,” he said. “I think it’s made him grow up a lot. I think he still believes in love. I think he’s still gonna find love. But, you know, it’s definitely a whole growing, learning experience. He pushed himself a ton. He got himself very vulnerable and opened up and learned what good that can do for you. Everything’s a lesson in life, and I think this was a giant lesson for him.”
