Single Golden Bachelor Bear Shares STEAMY KISS With Eliminated Contestant

It’s the question on everyone’s lips: who does Barry “Bear” Myrden pick on the finale of The Golden Bachelor Australia, and are they still together? Amid growing rumours that Bear is once again single after splitting from his winner, unaired footage of the 61-year-old widower sharing a passionate kiss with an eliminated contestant has sent shockwaves through the show’s fan base.

Photos released by Channel Nine reveal Bear locking lips with Pip during what was billed as a solo photo-shoot on a group date. The date occurred in episode two and featured re-creations of iconic rom-com moments such as Dirty Dancing, Grease and Muriel’s Wedding. However in the final edit of the episode that made it to air, Pip was edited out of the group photo-shoot sequence for reasons that remain undisclosed.

The images show Pip, a 60-year-old hoist operator, standing alone with Bear while the other women were paired up in groups of two or three. The pair reenacted the famous rain-kiss scene from The Notebook, with Pip wrapping her legs around Bear as he lifted her into the air. She draped her arms around his neck and the two shared an intense kiss in full view of the other contestants.

Despite the intense moment caught on camera the chemistry did not translate into a lasting bond. Pip was eliminated during the rose ceremony in episode six, shortly after another contestant stunned the room by rejecting Bear’s rose. Upon her exit Pip gracefully thanked the other women saying that leaving them was the thing she felt most sad about and that they had shared the most amazing time together.

Bear’s current top five contenders are Janette, Jan, Sunny, Kim and Gera. Fans of the series believe Janette and Sunny will be his final two. The show continues to keep viewers guessing not only about who Bear will end up with but also about the real reason behind the editing decision that sidelined Pip’s moment from the aired episode.
