Rachel Lindsay Talks About Heartbreaking Breakup With Nick Viall For The First Time

We all know Rachel Lindsay is the new Bachelorette and ready to find love again, but what exactly happened between her and Nick Viall? In a new interview, she reveals that their relationship did not go at all go how she had planned and she was “definitely heartbroken” with the break up.

Rachel was apparently just as shocked as the bachelor nation that Nick would eventually dump her.

“I was definitely heartbroken over the situation,” she tells People.

She adds, “I didn’t expect it. I didn’t think it would end that way for me.”

So, is she ready to move on and date 25 men since their breakup was filmed 3 months ago in November?

“The breakup wasn’t that long ago, but then in reality I wasn’t really dating Nick that long, either. I really have had time to deal with my feelings,” Rachel continues.

“Since then, I’ve been able to get back into work and be with family and friends, I’ve moved on from it,” the new Bachelorette recounts.

“I’m really at the point where I’m ready for that and going through this season with Nick and being so close, made me realize how much I want it even more. I’m at a stage in my life where I’m ready for a family, I’m ready to get married”

“I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do this again — and to be on the driver’s seat! I have my choice! I’m excited for that. It’s a different role.”
