It’s Official – Mark Anderson is a Contestant on The Golden Bachelorette & He Had a one on one date with Joan Vassos
Mark Anderson is officially on The Golden Bachelorette.
The show started filming 2 weeks ago and Mark already had a one-one-one date with Joan Vassos.
Mark went private on Instagram a few days before filming began. Reality Steve shared that he’d heard that Mark got a one-on-one date already.
Bachelor Nation fell in love with Kelsey Anderson’s dad during Joey Graziedei’s season of the Bachelor.
So much so that the fans quickly called for Mark to follow in Gerry Turner’s footsteps to be the next Golden Bachelor.
Kelsey Anderson admitted that her father was “open” to finding love on the reality show.
“If that’s what he wanted to do, I will support my dad fully. He’s an amazing man and deserves the world,” she said.
“[My] initial response was traumatized that there were trap videos that people made about my dad,” Kelsey tells PEOPLE. “But then I decided to take a step back and I was like, ‘You know what? My dad deserves all of this praise and love. He is an amazing dad, and he was an amazing husband to my mom.’ I think that my dad deserves all the love.”
“I think that my dad sees how great Joey and I are together, and he has talked to me about how Joey and I would’ve never met each other if it wasn’t for this show, so he’s open to it,” the Bachelor winner said. “My mom always told him that she wanted him to find love if she ever passed away before him, and that she wanted him to be happy and have that partnership after her, so I think that it would be a great push for him to open up to that and to see if he could find love on a TV show.”
While Joey admits Mark “would crush it” on the show.
“He’s amazing,” Joey added. “He has a presence about him. So, if he’s open to it, I think he’d do really well.”
Mark Anderson, who now lives in Louisiana, is from Minnesota.
“Louisiana is not my forever place,” he said. “Up there you can do a bonfire year-round and be comfortable.”
“It’s been a little bit more than a little bit overwhelming,” Mark said of the sudden attention from the Bachelor world.
“I’m too old for the regular show and I’m too young for ‘Golden. It’s an opportunity… to possibly meet the person I’m meant to be with.”
