Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist Televised Wedding Date & Venue Revealed – See Details

Another Bachelor couple is heading down the aisle.

During Thursday’s live finale of The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner got engaged to Theresa Nist in Costa Rica. The happy couple announced that they will have a televised wedding on ABC.

This would mark the first “Bachelor” wedding in almost a decade and the quickest ever nuptials for the Bachelor franchise.

“At our age, we don’t have a lot of time to waste,” Gerry Turner said after announcing his upcoming wedding date.

While all that is true, a lot of Bachelor fans have been waiting to know more details of the upcoming live wedding.

WEDDING DATE:

The Golden Wedding will air on January 4, 2024.

A live wedding ceremony will be aired on ABC at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4.

Where are they getting married?

The wedding will take place at La Quinta Resort, the same place they filmed Clare and Tayshia’s seasons of The Bachelorettes.

Last but not the least.. the honeymoon!

“Do you remember on your first date?” Jesse asked the couple. “We both learned that you wanted to speak Italian and you were hoping one day you could go visit Italy. Well, buon viaggio! That’s right, because are sending you on a romantic vacation to Italy!”

Jesse Palmer revealed that the show will be sending the newly weds on a trip to Italy for their honeymoon.

“I know how sometimes it feels like the whole world thinks that love is only for the young,” Theresa Nist said before accepting Gerry’s proposal. “And quite honestly, at the age of 70, I was beginning to feel that myself after Billy [her late husband] died, I was at the point where I thought, ‘I’m going to live the rest of my life alone,’ until I met you and I saw you smile and I thought, ‘Oh my God, what am I feeling here?’”

Meeting him changed that, she said. “I feel that for us, life isn’t over. The best is yet to come.”

Gerry told PEOPLE he actually informed her in the Fantasy Suite that he planned to pop the question.

“Part of our conversation in the Fantasy Suites was the first time really that I seriously told her that I loved her,” he said. “It was almost an announcement of excitement. I said it three times in a row, ‘Theresa, I love you. I love you, I love you.’ And I go, ‘And I’m going to ask you to marry me. I don’t know if you’re going to say yes, but I’m going to ask you.’ So for me, when I got to the final episode and the engagement was about to happen, I was very confident that she was my person, 100 percent confident.”
