Blake’s caption featured a romantic quote from Sweet Home Alabama: “So I can kiss you anytime I want.”
He also shared a sweet detail from the moment, revealing that Giannina “Said ‘yes’ before I could open the box to show her the ring,” he said, adding, “We are over the moon and we can’t wait to be married in front of our loved ones.”
Blake proposed to Giannina Gibelli on October 30 in a romantic setting at sunset in Parque del Retiro in Madrid, Spain. The proposal featured a stunning engagement ring from Brilliant Earth, showcasing a 4.87-carat, oval, lab-grown diamond set in an 18-karat yellow gold “Luxe Versailles” shank, adorned with small diamonds.
“I had been looking for the perfect ring for over a year,” he says. “I had an idea of what she wanted — cut, clarity, etc. — but I didn’t want to go and pick out a ring with her. I really wanted the ring to be a complete surprise.”
“When she did finally see [the ring], she was breathless and so happy, so that felt really amazing.”
Giannina described the engagement as “the best feeling in the world.”
