The veteran host of the ‘Bachelor’ franchise reflects on last season’s shocking finale and has a few not so kind words for the season 22 lead.
Arie Jr is arguably the most hated Bachelor after he dumped ex-fiancee Becca Kufrin in front of the cameras for runner-up Lauren Burnham. Now, longtime Bachelor and Bachelorette host Chris Harrison has shared his feelings regarding the shocking season finale.
“Even I say, he was a knucklehead. He made some really dumb decisions. He didn’t perform as perfectly as he probably would’ve liked,” Harrison tells THR.“If he could go back, he’d probably fix some things. But he and Lauren are in love and at the end of the day, the most important thing is that he’s with the girl he should be with and Becca’s good.”
Charlize Theron, a huge Bachelor fan, was also outraged at how Arie handled the whole situation.
“As a huge Bachelor fan, what did you think of Arie breaking Becca’s heart and how do you think she’ll do as the Bachelorette?” a caller asked Theron on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“She is so much better off. I mean, literally, not impressive. Not impressed with him at all,” Theron said. “I think she handled the whole thing so well, too, because that was the most awkward watching experience of my life. It was just brutal, and she kept it together and had integrity about it, and he just looked like a f—— dick!”
When Andy Cohen admitted that Arie “wasn’t hot enough to be the Bachelor,” Charlize continued that she “couldn’t get past [Arie’s] ‘Do you want to talk about it?’ Like no motherf—–! She doesn’t want to talk about it. Like, just leave already.”
