Kat Stickler Finally Reveals Why She Broke up With Jason Tartick
While addressing the online backlash for introducing Jason Tartick to her 4-year-old daughter MK — Kat Stickler reveals the reason for their break up.
Why did she break up with Jason Tartick?
Kat explained that that a big part of her dating is realizing that she can’t leave Florida, where she and MK live.
She implied that Jason would not move to Florida and that was the reason for their break up!
“A big part for someone who dates me is that they have to come into my world,” she said. “And I know that’s not easy, and I can’t leave Florida.. I can’t.”
“In light of current events, it has come to my attention that some of you are concerned with the fact that I introduced MK to the man I was dating, and that relationship is now no more,” Kat said on a video posted on Instagram. “So I thought, ‘You know what? Let’s have a chat about it.’ Because I think it’s important. I think it needs to be discussed.”
“Three things, she’s always with me when these males are introduced in her life, and they are always introduced as mommy’s friends,” she explained. “She doesn’t call anyone dad. She has a dad that is never a point of confusion for her, and I promise you guys, she is OK.”
“If someone comes to visit me, I can’t just shove MK in the cupboard,” she quipped. “Doesn’t matter what you guys say, it’s just not right. I was in a relationship where we were heading down a serious route—until we weren’t—and that’s okay. I just hope that MK knows that I am looking to find the right partner for the both of us because we are a package deal.”
Kat emphasized that her significant others are introduced as “friends” to avoid any misunderstandings. She reassured her fans that her daughter’s safety is always a priority during these interactions. Additionally, she pointed out that the relationship timelines portrayed online can often be misleading, highlighting the difference between public perception and her actual experiences.
“I know I don’t always make the right decisions, but I learn from my mistakes,” she continued, “and every decision that I do make, it’s because it’s what I think is best for my daughter and I.”
Kat also took to her social media to respond to the rumors surrounding their split.
“With two back-to-back hurricanes, I obviously didn’t think it was the right time to talk about my personal life” she said. “But a lot of you have already asked and yes, Jason and I have broken up.”
“It just didn’t work,” she added. “It’s not love wasted. I feel like sometimes, it’s so easy to think when a relationship ends that the love was wasted but love is never wasted.”
“Imagine if we all listened to the judgements that other people had about our lives and based our life decisions on those judgement,” she noted. “I never wanna live in fear of not doing what’s right for me because of what other people are gonna think.”

“Obviously there’s a lot going on in my personal life right now,” Jason said on the Monday, October 14, episode of his “Trading Secrets” podcast. “One thing I’m going to share that I will talk about in regards to something else that’s come up in this last few days actually. Aside from, of course, Kat and I no longer being together.”
“I say all of that because life is just so precious. It is so fast,” he said. “Before we even go into this episode, make a note, call your mom, call your dad, call your loved ones, grandpa, grandma, brother, sister. Whoever it might be. Tell them you love them. Find time to spend more time with them.”
