Jenn Tran Reveals What Devin Told Her During Awkward Commercial Break of The Bachelorette Finale

Jenn Tran revealed that ex Devin Strader tried to have a conversation with her during the live finale’s commercial breaks.

But she was not interested in having a conversation with him!

Jenn said that Devin’s lack of remorse was right on brand.

“That’s kind of just been the way he’s been after the breakup,” she said of her ex on the couch. “I was not expecting anything different. He hadn’t been responding to my calls and whatnot, so I didn’t think that he was gonna be emotional.”

Jenn then went on to reveal that it got really awkward between the two during commercial breaks.

“I wasn’t really looking at him much,” she said. “I was in my own mood, and he was like, ‘Why aren’t you looking at me?’ I’m like, ‘Well, ‘cause you kind of suck!’”

“It’s definitely tough. I’m not going to say it’s easy. I knew going into it, it was going to be a hard night. You know, he had been dodging calls and I hadn’t talked to him or seen him in a month. So, I knew it was going to be hard for me because for me those feelings were real.”

Devin Strader is trying to defend himself after Jenn Tran accused him of breaking up with her over a 15 minute phone call.

“He basically said he didn’t love me anymore and didn’t feel the same way. He was checked out. It wasn’t what he wanted anymore.”

The season 21 winner is in damage control mode after the explosive finale, as he leaked the [now-deleted] private text messages between him and Jenn to try to tell his side of the story.

Here’s how the conversation unfolded.

Jenn : “So then why did you want to talk to me in person today in the first place.”

Devin : “I wanted to tell you all of this in person because you deserved more than a phone call.”

Devin: “I didn’t spring this on you Jenn. I wanted to talk about this in person today and you forced it out of me. Of course this isn’t the way I wanted to do things.”

Jenn: “But the way you said it last night made it seem like you already made your mind up. Not that you wanted to have a conversation about it.”

Devin then says that Jenn tried to break up with him first.

Devin: “Just last week Friday you said we should break up. You’ve said that before. I really took that to heart because I’ve been having doubts about our whole relationship. And I’m not happy right now when I know you aren’t either. I’m always falling short of your expectations. I have already expressed my own doubts, and last HC I was very honest about where my heart stood. I don’t know what else to say Jenn.”

Devi: “You don’t deserve this & I don’t think I can [give] you what you deserve.”

Jenn: “I know that I said I wanted to break up and I was emotionally charged when I said that and I obviously didn’t go through with that.”
