Jenn Tran & Jonathan Finally Reveal If They’re Dating
Jenn Tran is finally addressing the swirling rumors about her dating Jonathan Johnson.
Former Bachelorette Jenn Tran and Jonathan Johnson have been at the center of reconciliation rumors following her recent split from Devin Strader. Fans have noticed their increased interactions on social media, with some speculating that they may be rekindling their relationship. Jenn has been keeping things coy, sharing posts that hint at her current emotional state without directly addressing the rumors.
Jenn finally addressed her love life. She confirmed that while Jonathan was there to support her, she hasn’t asked him out and isn’t looking to dive into a new relationship just yet.
“I mean we’re such good friends, but never say never,” Jenn clarified. “I think the best relationships start off as friends but right now, I’m really just focusing on myself and my dance steps.”
Jonathan was spotted cheering her on from the audience. In response to speculation about their relationship, especially after he mentioned he would say “yes” if Jenn asked him out during a September 10 episode of The Viall Files, Jenn clarified that she hasn’t asked him out and isn’t currently ready for a relationship.
“Honestly, Jonathan’s been such an amazing friend of mine, and so great to have someone here in L.A. to support me and be such a rock for me,” she gushes. “And my heart’s just, right now, not in the space to date anybody, let alone Jonathan.”
Jonathon’s been such a light in all of this,” Jenn told NBC News of their dynamic. “I didn’t come out of this journey with a fiancé, but I, at least, got a really good friend out of it, a really good human out of it, makes me really excited.” She added, “I’m just not at a place to explore a relationship with anyone, not even just Jonathon. It’s just not something that’s been on my mind at all.”
“But I’m just so excited to see where our friendship goes.”
Jonathan also talked about Jenn on the Nick Viall podcast, “I think people have been in love with the idea of me before and then not actually myself, so to get eliminated third but everybody else can see it except for the person that you wanted to… It’s hard to go back on that,” Jonathan said. When Nick asked if they’ve had a conversation about dating outside of the show, he said they have not. However, he also claimed that he would say yes if Jenn asked him out.
“She’s confessing her love for Marcus [Shoberg] and Devin’s saying that he’s in love with her and I’m sitting there in this middle ground with her, where everything’s great, it’s fun, we have no issues with each other, no drama,” Jonathon said during an episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in August. “It’s easy, but that next step isn’t there.”
Jenn also told the outlet that she’s “taking time” and “doing things” for herself. She added, “I just don’t think I have the space in my head or my heart to add a guy into the picture at the moment.”
Jenn Tran has reflected positively on her time as The Bachelorette despite the post-show drama.
“It hasn’t been easy, but at the end of the day, I am proud of the choices that I made. There was no way in which I would have known that he was a different person.”
