SPOILER ALERT

[This article contains spoilers from Joan’s season of the Golden Bachelorette]

No, Mark Anderson doesn’t end up with Joan Vassos on the Golden Bachelorette.

So, while Mark does manage to make it to the top 10 on “The Golden Bachelorette,” he ultimately doesn’t advance to the hometowns.

The ambiguity around whether he was eliminated or chose to self-eliminate has sparked a lot of speculation and conversation among fans. If he did self-eliminate, it might indicate a desire to prioritize his own emotional well-being or perhaps a realization that the connection wasn’t as strong as he had hoped.

Mark was married to his late wife, Denise Anderson, for 18 years before she passed away in 2018.

His daughter Kelsey encouraged her dad to apply for Golden Bachelorette.

“The more I thought about it, [I was] like, ‘Why not?’” Mark told The Wrap“I’ve told my kids their entire life to do stuff [and] don’t shy away from things — ‘Take that opportunity and go do it,’ so it wouldn’t really be right for me not to.”

Mark recently revealed that Kelsey had some good advice for him before the show. And it was the same advice he gave her before she joined The Bachelor.

“That’s really the exact same thing she told me … ‘Just be yourself. Most importantly, have fun. Enjoy yourself and just be you, be honest and just see where it goes.’”
