Gerry Turner ‘Wanted Out’ of Marriage with Theresa Nist
Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their decision to divorce after merely three months of marriage.
The couple broke the news to the Bachelor fans on Good Morning America, while adding that this decision was “mutual.”
However, sources close to Gerry’s circle claim it was in fact Gerry who wasn’t happy with Theresa.
“Gerry and Theresa are giving up on their marriage, but they both weren’t on the same page as they’d like you to believe,” reveals an insider source to Life & Style.
The insider also claimed it was Theresa who did the heavy lifting while trying to keep the flame alive.
“Yes, families and distance played a part, but Theresa really loved Gerry,” the insider claimed. “She wanted to work at it more than him.”
Host Jesse Palmer also addressed Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist divorce.
“My heart is forever with these two beautiful souls. I am eternally grateful to have gotten to know Gerry and Theresa and to have been a small part of their journey.”
“I learned a lot about life, love and family watching and talking with them. Wishing them and their families both nothing but happiness 🙏🏼”
Susan Noles, who officiated Gerry and Theresa’s wedding, explains what she thinks caused the split.
The Golden Bachelor contestant responded to a fan’s inquisitive comment on the Instagram account for the “Golden Hour” podcast she co-hosts with Kathy Swarts.
“Why did they break up so quick?” a Bachelor fan asked.
To which Susan simply replied: “Neither one of them can leave their family.”
“They have their reasons, I’m sure,” Susan said on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “So be supportive everybody. Stay positive, and we wish them all the best.”
Gerry and Theresa appeared on Good Morning America to announce their separation 3 months after getting married.
“Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and — and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to — dissolve our marriage,” Gerry said in an interview for “Good Morning America.”
“The thing that strikes me the most in our conversations is how dedicated both of us are to our families. So we look at these situations, and I think we just feel like it’s best for the happiness of each of us to live apart,” said Gerry.
“We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope,” Theresa continued. “We want none of that to change for anybody.”
