Gerry Turner Reveals If He Has Regrets about How He Handled Leslie Fhima
Gerry Turner was recently asked if he has any regrets about how he handled the whole situation and then the breakup with runner up Leslie Fhima.
And here’s what he had to say:
“I’ve gotta say, ‘No,'” Gerry revealed in a YouTube Channel interview when asked the question.
“Throughout the course of the whole journey, I would give each woman 100 percent of myself when I was with them. I didn’t want to leave any stone unturned. I wanted to be completely open.”
He went on to explain that his choice to compartmentalize all of his relationships with the women allowed him to develop feelings of love and admiration for more than one contestant on the show.
He said that he’d “package that up, set it aside, and then go to the next.”
“And in the moments with Leslie, as it was with [Faith], I was committed to them and was listening to what they had to say, and I had strong feelings for them.”
“So when I expressed love for them, in those moments, it was legit,” Gerry continued. “It was completely legit until the moment I realized that there was a woman for me there that was the person I couldn’t live without.”
Leslie revelead that Gerry had told her he’d pick her as the winner behind closed doors in the Fantasy Suite date.
“I don’t want to say everything that he said, but it was 100 percent certainty when I woke up the next morning that I was going to be it,” Leslie said.
“He made plans with me for [the] future. He said kind of, like, ‘Save the date, this is what we’re going to do. I can’t wait for us. In two more days, we’ll be done with this [and] be together, start our life,’” Leslie tells Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on the podcast.
“Did he say, ‘Will you marry me?’ in there, no, but he all but said that. I would’ve been happy with just, ‘I love you,’ but he took it to a different level.”
She went on to recall the morning of their Fantasy Suite overnight date.
Leslie said that Gerry “didn’t want to leave” and never commented on having “such a hard decision to make.”
“[Gerry] had to make a choice. It’s his journey, his choice. But he could have chosen not to say those things to me. That’s all,” She continued. “He said he wasn’t ready [or] his heart wasn’t ready, or something like that. I kind of was glazing over at that point, but I didn’t get closure from him. And I don’t know if anything he would’ve said would’ve really given me closure.”
