Clayton Echard Reveals His Regrets About Joining ‘The Bachelor’
The current Bachelor joined Nick Viall’s podcast to talk about some of his regrets and all the criticism the fans of the show have thrown his way.
He also admitted that he second-guessed his decision to do ‘The Bachelor’ after it premiered the first week of January.
“I think the first three weeks of the show airing, I definitely thought that, because you just don’t know what to expect going into it,” he tells Nick. I thought, ‘This is going to be great. Everyone’s going to come around, start seeing my personality,’ and people weren’t.”
He also admitted that he “just wasn’t ready for the magnitude of criticism [he] was going to face.”
“It doesn’t matter at this point to me,” he said.
“Having no frame of reference, not really watching prior shows. I went straight from Michelle’s season to jumping into my own, so I didn’t have that time in between to really reach out to [past] Bachelor, Bachelorettes, ask them these questions that now I’m asking,” Clayton continued. “Having that reassurance, I didn’t get that.”
But, does he find love on the show? We’ll have to wait and find out.
The Bachelor airs Monday nights on ABC.
