Kaitlyn Bristowe Responds to Nick Saying He’s “Thankful” She Dumped Him

Nick Viall threw some serious shade at exes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Andi Dorfman after he was named the lead for the newest season of The Bachelor. In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Nick said he was “thankful” Kaitlyn opted for Shawn and Andi Dorfman chose Josh Murray.

“Andi’s a great young lady, and I couldn’t be more thankful that she picked Josh,” he said.

He then added that he’s “even more thankful that Kaitlyn picked Shawn” which prompted fans to suspect some shade between the two.

And now, Kaitlyn took to media to clear the tension once and for all.

The ex Bachelorette states that there’s absolutely no tension between Nick and her and she took no offence to the comment made by Nick.

“Of course I’m not hurt by that!” she told Us Weekly. “I mean, I’m happily engaged to Shawn, and that’s who I’m supposed to be with. So no, I agree with him.”

“It worked out for him. He gets to be the Bachelor, and it worked out for me — I’m happy with Shawn,” she said. “Why wouldn’t he be happy we didn’t end up together?”

Kaitlyn even explained why she’s not friends with Nick.

“Andi is single — they can have a friendship,” Kaitlyn said. “No disrespect towards him — it’s nothing other than the fact that I’m happily engaged, and I don’t really text any guys.”

She also had something to say about the infamous contestant from this season, Corinne Olymios.

“I don’t know what a good strategy is anymore,” she said. “It seems to be working for her. Everyone’s talking about her — maybe that’s what she wanted. It kind of depends what you want from it.”
