Casting for The Bachelorette season 16 has been in process for quite some time now and there are only a few days left for the official announcement of the next lead.

Oh and we just might have a name!

According to an insider, Clare Crawley is going to be named the newest Bachelorette lead next week.

The announcement is going to be made on The Ellen Show!

Here’s what they wrote on the page The Spoiled, Toasted Rose.

“Clare Crawley is officially going to be the Bachelorette! They’re going to surprise her with the news on Ellen show next week and they start filming in 2 weeks.”

Not so much of a surprise anymore, is it?

To refresh your memories, Clare Crawley was a front-runner on Juan Pablo’s season 18 of the Bachelor.

She then participated in the Season 1 of Bachelor Winter Games where she met Benoît Beauséjour Savard.

Benoît proposed to Clare on The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tell All.

The couple called off their engagement and released a joint statement.

“We understand a lot of you have been asking about our relationship since the show, and we wanted to thank you all for the love and respect as we navigated it in real life off-camera. We do understand however, having a public engagement on TV kind of changes that. It’s with a heavy heart that we have mutually decided to end our relationship,” they wrote in a joint statement.

“We think the world of each other, and we were both hoping we could make this work. I’m sorry that this may not be what you want to hear, but it’s our truth.”

The production have also met with Kelsey Weier from Peter’s season of The Bachelor, Tia Booth and Tayshia Adams for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.
