Monday night’s episode was one of the most dramatic episodes of all time!
Chase Rice appeared on The Bachelor to perform a concert for Peter Weber and his one-on-one date.
He also got to be a part of the Bachelor drama.
Chase finally reached No. 1 on country radio with his single Eyes on You after releasing two full length albums. He went on the show to promote the track and didn’t know that Victoria would show up with Peter.
He then found himself serenading the couple during their awkward date.
“We turn the corner, and I see Chase, my ex-boyfriend,” Victoria says.
“Nothing could be worse. I’m freaking out right now. I want to die.”
Chase is finally speaking out about the whole situation.
“They’ve never brought somebody in and surprised the guest on the show. To do that to me, it’s over the top; it’s unnecessary,” Chase said on the Fitz in the Morning radio show.
“You know, I knew she was going on the show. So I told my manager and my publicist, they were like, ‘Don’t even worry about that. They’re not going to do that to you, that’s a weird coincidence, but they’re not gonna — there’s no way they would do that to you. I didn’t expect it. But at the end of the day, it happened.”
“I don’t know if it’s the producers, or if they just got lucky as hell,” he said, before adding that he was “pissed” about the situation. “If there’s anything I’ve ever wanted, it’s to have nothing to do with the drama of that show.”
Chase also said that he and Victoria were never really an item.
“We spent a night together in Charlotte. She’s a cool chick — from what I know of her. I got no problem with her. I got no problem with Peter.”
